Bartholomew Hawkins Ltd, one of the companies that advised members of the British Steel Pension Scheme to transfer their occupational benefit pensions has gone into liquidation 2 years after the regulatory body removed their permissions.
Bartholomew Hawkins Ltd stopped offering DB transfer advice and suspended its permissions in 2017.
Bartholomew Hawkins Ltd also confirmed it had advised members of the British Steel Pension Scheme (BSPS) and that the action by the FCA did relate to pension transfer advice given to BSPS members.
Bartholomew Hawkins Ltd carried pension transfer permissions and gave transfer advice. The related firm Bartholomew Hawkins Asset Management did not have these permissions.
